11月29日,Youth 对话City Hall活动。
On November 29, 2014 (12-6pm), youth from across the city will come together to address issues that are impacting their lives in the third annual, If I Ruled T.O. event. Youth will be invited to present their thoughts and opinions regarding matters such as education, jobs and the economy, police relations, space development, politics and housing. Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) Resident and Community Services Division, in partnership with the City of Toronto, Social Development and Finance Division and various community partners will hold the one day Think-Tank and conference with approximately 500 youth.
The overall goal is to create a dialogue between youth and people in decision making positions to have a frank and open discussion about policies, changes and challenges youth face as it relates to the particular area. The goal will be to come up with tangible actions/ next steps that we can put in place to ensure that the issues raised can be addressed. This will include action steps to be implemented by all participants including the youth. The group will meet quarterly to receive status updates based on actions agreed upon from dialogue, plan events, and bring about change in their communities one action at a time.
If you have any questions, or there is an agency interested in participating or securing a shuttle bus, please email us at [email protected]
Thanks,
